    PS5 Slim CFI-2000 Series Only

    ADP-400GR fits the new PS5 Slim CFI-2000 series only, released November 2023. The slimmer chassis uses a different PSU form factor from the original PS5.

    Confirmed compatible models include CFI-2000, CFI-2015 and CFI-2016, both Disc and Digital editions.

    It does not fit the original PS5 CFI-10xx, CFI-11xx or CFI-12xx generations. It also does not fit the PS5 Pro CFI-70xx.

    Find your model number printed on the rear sticker of the console. Look for the prefix CFI-20 to confirm fitment.

    ADP-400GR is built only for the PS5 Slim CFI-2000 chassis. Below are the wrong-generation consoles it will not fit.

    Install Notes For Best Result

    Unplug the console and discharge for 30 minutes before opening. Remove the side panel and lift out the SSD cover. Pop off the top shell and unclip the system fan. Lift the metal shroud to expose the PSU bay. Disconnect the spade terminal and the small data flex.

    Drop the new ADP-400GR into the bay, reconnect both leads and refit the shroud. Reverse all steps and test power-on at the wall.

    Which PS5 Slim models does ADP-400GR fit?+

    Fits the PS5 Slim CFI-2000 series only. Confirmed model numbers include CFI-2000, CFI-2015 and CFI-2016. Both Disc and Digital editions are supported.

    How do I tell if I have a PS5 Slim or original PS5?+

    Check the rear sticker for the CFI prefix. PS5 Slim consoles start with CFI-20. Original PS5 consoles start with CFI-10, CFI-11 or CFI-12. The Slim chassis is also visibly thinner.

    Will this PSU fit my original PS5 console?+

    No. The PS5 Slim PSU uses a different physical form factor. It will not fit the larger original PS5 chassis. Use ADP-400DR, ADP-400ER or ADP-400FR for the original PS5 generations.

    Does this PSU need soldering to install?+

    No. The PS5 Slim PSU uses spade terminal connectors and a flex cable. The unit drops into the chassis bay and clips into place. No soldering or thermal pads required.

    Will this fix the PS5 Slim blue light of death?+

    A failed PSU is the most common cause of BLOD on the PS5 Slim. Swap the PSU first as the cheapest fix. If BLOD persists, the next suspect is the APU or the SSD slot.

    Is this PSU compatible with Australian 240V mains?+

    Yes. The ADP-400GR runs on universal 100V to 240V mains at 50 or 60 hertz. Australian 200 to 240V is the native input mode. Use the standard AU IEC C7 power cord.

    Why does my PS5 Slim shut down during gaming?+

    A PSU that cannot hold 12V under heavy GPU load triggers the over-current protection. The console drops out as a safety response. A fresh PSU restores stable voltage.
