A bad DC-IN board is the most common charging fault on the M2 Air. Confirm it is the port and not the cable, brick or battery.
Borrow another working USB-C-to-MagSafe 3 cable.
Use a 30W or higher Apple-spec brick.
If USB-C charges but MagSafe does not, the DC-IN is the fault.
Apple Silicon resets via a full shutdown and 30-second wait.
Look for bent pins, burn marks or debris.
Power section shows charger detected only when the port works.

Installation — Pro Repair Recommended
⚠️ Disconnect the battery before any other connector. A live logic board will short the new DC-IN board.
Shut down. Unplug the MagSafe cable.
Use a P5 pentalobe driver for the case screws.
Lift the battery flex from the logic board first.
Pop the connector and remove the board screws.
Seat into the chassis. Re-fit the screws by hand first.
Reconnect battery. Plug in MagSafe. Confirm LED.
