    Installation — Pro Repair Recommended

    ⚠️ Lithium batteries are flammable when punctured. Never bend, pierce or crush the cell. Work slowly and use plastic tools only.

    Step 1 — Power Off

    Shut down. Unplug the MagSafe cable.

    Step 2 — Open the Bottom Case

    Use a P5 pentalobe driver for the case screws.

    Step 3 — Disconnect Battery Flex

    Lift the battery connector from the logic board.

    Step 4 — Remove Old Battery

    Soften the adhesive with isopropyl alcohol.

    Step 5 — Fit the New Battery

    Seat into place. Reconnect the flex carefully.

    Step 6 — Test Before Closing

    Power on. Check charge level and health.

    It fits the 13.6-inch M2 Air (A2681, 2022) and the 13-inch M3 Air (A3113, 2024). Click About This Mac to confirm yours.
    Will it fit a MacBook Air M1 or 15-inch Air?+
    No. The M1 Air (A2337) uses battery A2389. The 15-inch M2 Air (A2941) uses A2848. The 15-inch M3 Air (A3114) is also different.
    Why does the M2 and M3 Air share a battery?+
    Apple kept the same chassis and internal layout. Both models use the A2669 battery part. Capacity and voltage match.
    What does zero-cycle mean?+
    Zero-cycle means the battery is brand new and has never been charged. You start fresh from a full 100% lifespan.
    Are GreenCell batteries safe?+
    Yes. Each cell carries a built-in PCBA protection circuit. Overcharge, overheat, overload, short-circuit and PTC safeguards are included.
    Will macOS show the new battery as genuine?+
    macOS may show a non-genuine battery notice. Capacity, charging and Battery Health all still work. This is normal for any third-party cell.
    Can I install it myself?+
    Yes if you have the right tools and care. You need a P5 pentalobe driver, plastic spudgers, isopropyl alcohol and ESD safety. Pro install is recommended.
