How does this lanyard attach to my phone case?
An included gasket is attached to your phone case near the charging port. A small tether loop from the gasket threads through the charging port opening on your case. The metal hook on the lanyard rope then clips to that tether loop. No tools are needed and the installation takes just a few minutes.
Will this block my charging port?
No. The metal hook design is specifically built to keep the charging port clear and accessible. You can plug in a USB-C or Lightning cable while the lanyard is attached. You do not need to remove the lanyard to charge your phone.
Why doesn't this work with half-coverage cases?
The lanyard attaches by threading a small loop through the charging port opening in your case. A half-coverage or bumper case does not have a solid surround at the bottom, so there is no defined port opening to thread through. A full coverage case has a complete bottom edge with a cut-out for the port — this is what the gasket loop grips on to.
How do I check if my case is compatible?
Your case must be a full coverage case — meaning it covers the full back, all four sides, and the bottom edge of your phone. Look at the bottom of your case. If there is a defined rectangular or oval opening for the charging port surrounded by case material, this lanyard will work. If the bottom is open or has no material framing the port, it will not work.
What else can I hang from this lanyard besides my phone?
The metal hook can carry keys, ID cards, wallets, USB drives, keychains, name tags, and more. This makes the lanyard useful beyond just your phone — it can replace several clips and holders you might otherwise carry separately in a bag or on a belt.
What phone sizes does this fit?
This lanyard suits smartphones with full coverage cases from 4 inches to 6.7 inches (10.16cm to 17cm). This covers most current iPhone and Samsung Galaxy models. The lanyard itself is universal — the key requirement is always the case type, not the phone model.
Why is a 6mm round rope better than a flat nylon strap?
A 6mm round rope distributes the weight of your phone more evenly across the shoulder and neck than a thin flat strap. Flat nylon straps tend to cut into the skin during extended wear. The round polyester weave is smooth, soft, and comfortable for all-day use without digging in or causing irritation.
