    ⚡ Refresh Rate

120Hz LTPO ProMotion — adaptive 10Hz to 120Hz, same as original Apple panel.

    🔬 The Diagnosable BQ7 Difference

"Diagnosable" means the panel responds correctly to professional diagnostic tools (JC, QianLi, Mijing, REWA, Phonefix). Test-points show clean readings. Touch IC reports back. Backlight current behaves as expected. This makes post-install verification fast and reliable — no guesswork.

Major repair-shop diagnostic platforms recognise the panel and report stable values.

    🎯 Pre-Bonded Touch IC

Touch driver matches original Apple firmware response. No ghost-touch, no dead zones.

Soft OLED vs Hard OLED vs Incell LCD — Honest Disclosure

Aftermarket iPhone 13 Pro Max screens come in three tiers. Pick the right one for your customer. This product is the top-tier Soft OLED.

    🥇 Soft OLED (THIS PRODUCT)

Flexible plastic substrate. Closest match to the original Apple panel — true OLED blacks, full 120Hz ProMotion, Always-On Display, wide viewing angles. More forgiving during install thanks to the flexible base. Premium tier.

    🥈 Hard OLED

Rigid glass substrate. True OLED blacks and 120Hz still work. Slightly cooler colour tone and more rigid feel. Less forgiving during reassembly — the glass base can crack if the chassis is bent. Mid tier — budget-friendly OLED for cost-sensitive jobs.

    🥉 Incell LCD

Budget LCD panel. No true blacks, no Always-On Display, lower contrast, higher power draw. 120Hz still supported. Brighter under direct sunlight than OLED. Value tier — for tight-budget repairs where original Apple look is not required.

⚠️ True Tone Needs a Programmer

This panel installs plug-and-play — no microsoldering required. The touch IC is pre-bonded at the factory and the sensor flex is pre-installed. The only specialist step is True Tone restoration, which needs a screen programmer.

    • Plug and play: Disconnect the broken panel. Move the earpiece bracket and proximity sensor housing across. Plug the new panel in. Power on.
    • Face ID: Unaffected by the screen swap. Face ID lives in the TrueDepth camera assembly above the screen — that module stays in the phone.
    • True Tone: Use a programmer (JC V1S, QianLi iCopy, Mijing) to copy the True Tone calibration data from the original panel onto the new panel. The toggle then returns to iOS settings.
    • Skill level: Suitable for confident DIY techs. No soldering, no chip transfer. A programmer is only needed if you want True Tone back.

No programmer? The screen still installs and works perfectly. Only the True Tone toggle disappears from the iOS Display settings.

    What This Screen Replacement Fixes

    💥 Cracked / Shattered Glass

Front glass smashed, spider web cracks, missing glass chunks at the corners.

⬛ Black Screen / No Display

Phone vibrates but display stays black. OLED panel itself has died.

    📺 Vertical / Horizontal Lines

Coloured stripes or single-pixel lines running across the screen.

👻 Ghost Touch / Phantom Taps

Phone registers taps where you did not touch. Touch IC has failed.

    🚫 Dead Touch Zones

Areas of the screen ignore touch input. Other regions still work.

    🌑 Dead Pixels / Spots

Bright or dark pixels stuck on. Cluster damage from impact or pressure.

    🟪 Burn-In / Image Retention

Faint outlines of the keyboard, status bar or app icons stay on screen.

    🟡 Yellow Tint / Discolouration

Heat damage from charging or water exposure causing yellow patches.

    📞 Proximity Sensor Stuck

Screen will not turn off during calls. Replacement includes new sensor flex.

🔧 Install Notes & Best Practice

    • Required tooling: Pentalobe + tri-point + Y000 driver, suction cup, plastic prying tools, isopropyl alcohol, and a screen programmer if you want True Tone back (JC V1S, QianLi iCopy or Mijing).
    • Disconnect first: Disconnect the battery before touching the screen connectors. Standard iPhone repair safety.
    • Earpiece + sensor housing: Move the earpiece speaker, mesh, metal bracket and proximity sensor housing across from the broken panel. The sensor flex itself is already pre-installed on the new screen.
    • Plug and play: Seat the three new screen connectors firmly. No soldering, no chip transfer required — the touch IC is pre-bonded at the factory.
    • True Tone restoration: Use a programmer to read the True Tone calibration data from the original panel and write it to the new panel.
    • Adhesive: Always replace the front-frame waterproof adhesive gasket on reassembly.
    • Power-on test: Bench test before final reassembly. Check display, touch, Face ID, True Tone, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor.
    • Diagnostic verification: Run a JC / QianLi diagnostic post-install to confirm panel ID, touch response and stable backlight current.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Soft OLED and Hard OLED?+
Soft OLED uses a flexible plastic substrate. It feels closer to the original Apple panel, has slightly warmer colour tone and is more forgiving during reassembly. Hard OLED uses a rigid glass base. It is cheaper but more brittle if the chassis flexes during install. Both deliver true OLED blacks and full 120Hz ProMotion. Soft OLED is the closer match to factory.
Will Face ID still work after I install this screen?+
Yes. Face ID is driven by the TrueDepth camera assembly above the screen — that module stays inside the phone during a screen swap. Replacing the screen does not affect Face ID. If Face ID was already broken before the screen damage, that is a separate TrueDepth fault and a screen swap will not bring it back.
Does this support 120Hz ProMotion and Always-On Display?+
Yes. The Soft OLED maintains the original 120Hz LTPO ProMotion adaptive refresh rate (10Hz to 120Hz). Always-On Display works as expected. Smooth scrolling and the original ProMotion behaviour are preserved.
    What does "Diagnosable" mean exactly?+
It means professional repair-shop diagnostic platforms (JC, QianLi, Mijing, REWA, Phonefix) read the panel correctly. Touch IC reports back, backlight current behaves normally, panel ID is recognised. This makes post-install verification fast and reliable — no guessing if the screen is at fault.
Will True Tone work after I install this screen?+
True Tone requires a programmer (JC V1S, QianLi iCopy or Mijing) to copy the True Tone calibration data from the original panel onto this new Soft OLED. With the programmer step done, True Tone toggles back on in the iOS settings. Without it, the toggle disappears but the screen still works perfectly.
Is the proximity sensor flex included?+
Yes. The proximity sensor flex is pre-installed on the Soft OLED. You only need to move the original sensor housing metal shield plate and the small sensor module across from the broken panel. No additional flex purchase required.
Is this suitable for first-time DIY repair?+
Yes — provided you are confident with iPhone disassembly. This panel is plug-and-play with the touch IC pre-bonded, so no microsoldering is needed. The trickiest steps are a clean screen lift, the earpiece bracket and proximity sensor housing transfer, and re-seating the waterproof gasket. A first-time DIY tech with the right driver kit and patience can complete the swap.
What does the 12-month warranty cover?+
The 12-month warranty covers manufacturer panel defects — touch IC failure, dead pixels appearing without impact, backlight current issues, ghost touch developing without drop damage. The warranty does not cover physical damage, water damage, install damage, or hairline cracks from incorrect adhesive seating.
